SEO Agencies, AI SEO Content Brief Generator (White-Label)

Type a keyword, get a writer-ready SEO content brief in about 2 minutes: live Google top 10, People Also Ask, AI Overview citations, competitor headings, cannibalisation check against the client's own sitemap and internal link picks, all branded as the agency's own tool.

    Build it yourself, free

This blueprint is free. Copy the master prompt below, build it with your own time, and the only outlay is a few low-cost tool subscriptions. Use it inside your own business, or sell it to clients. The numbers further down are what you can charge, not what you pay.

    Who you sell it to

SEO and content agencies producing 20+ articles a month across several clients, and in-house content teams at SaaS, e-commerce and multi-location businesses. The pain is easy to spot: a strategist spends 1-4 hours per brief pulling the SERP, opening 10 competitor tabs, copying headings into a doc and guessing at internal links, and the agency is paying per seat for Surfer (Essential $99/mo for 30 Content Editor credits, Scale $219/mo for 100), Frase (from $49/mo) or Clearscope (Essentials $129/mo) on top. Find them on LinkedIn by searching 'content strategist' and 'SEO agency owner', in agency directories like Clutch, and in SEO communities where people complain about brief workflows.

The best fit is an agency that already writes briefs by hand or in Google Docs templates and wants its own branded tool to show clients. You can also build this for your own agency first and use it as the case study.

If you sell it, here is the money picture:

The first tile is the value of your client's own jobs, which is the reason they will pay you. The other two tiles are what you charge them.

    How it works

A strategist picks a client, enters a target keyword plus a few secondary keywords and presses Generate. The app pulls the live Google top 10, People Also Ask, related searches and AI Overview (with the sources it cites) from DataForSEO, then scrapes the main content of the top competitor pages with Firecrawl to collect their headings and word counts. AI groups the topics every competitor covers, finds gaps none of them answer well, and classifies search intent.

Next it checks the client's own sitemap: if an existing client page already targets the keyword, it flags cannibalisation and recommends updating that page instead; it also picks 3-8 internal links out and 2-5 pages that should link in. Finally it writes the brief using the client's brand voice and audience notes: title options, meta description, word count range, full H2/H3 outline, must-cover checklist, FAQs, an AI Overview and AI search citation section, and E-E-A-T notes. The brief is saved with version history, exported as a branded PDF or sent to a writer as a private link where they can tick off the checklist and comment.

    What to expect

Briefs land in 60-120 seconds instead of 1-4 hours, and the API cost is cents per brief (DataForSEO live SERP is about $0.002 per call, Firecrawl Hobby is $16/mo for 3,000 credits, GPT-5 mini runs about $0.25 per million input tokens). Expect a strategist to still spend 10-15 minutes reviewing and adjusting each brief: the tool gets the research right, a human adds client judgement. The cannibalisation check is the feature agencies notice first, because it catches 'we already have a page for that' before a writer is paid.

Rankings depend on writing quality, links and domain strength, so sell this as faster, more consistent briefs, never as guaranteed rankings. Shipping it as an installable app via AppBuild.DIY matters here because strategists and writers get a push notification the moment a brief is ready or a writer comments, which keeps the content calendar moving without anyone refreshing a dashboard. Plan 1-2 weeks from build to a paying agency pilot.
